Redford Center Creative Conversations
That is one of five videos we produced for the Redford Center, covering their Creative Conversations program and Bay Area premiere of the documentary Waste Land. The panel featured Ken Wells, sustainability consultant and former executive director of Sonoma County Waste Management Agency; Amir Soltani, documentary filmmaker, journalist, and human rights advocate; and Pedro Kos, editor of Waste Land.
“Waste Land follows renowned artist Vik Muniz as he journeys from his home base in Brooklyn to his native Brazil and the world’s largest garbage dump, Jardim Gramacho, on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro.”
We’re excited to be working with the Redford Center, and are looking forward to future projects with them. Thanks to Ben Youngerman who worked with us on this job. He shot and edited the series.
This video and the four to be released are going up on the Redford Center’s Facebook page. Check them all out there.
Busy Busy in 2010
TeamJaded has been incredibly busy this year and that’s a GOOD thing.
For the past few months we’ve been working on several projects, the biggest of which is a corporate video contracted through an marketing firm called Giant. It’s an internal video for a client of theirs so we can’t say much more about it than that.
However, we can say that it’s provided us with some amazing opportunities including traveling the country in June producing shoots in Pittsburgh, Denver, and San Diego. All the while Jeremey had a broken ankle and was on crutches, which meant Abby was showing off her lifting skills and carrying literally hundreds of pounds worth of gear. (Abby really stepped up for the entire production process, and made Jeremey’s broken ankle a non-issue.)
One of the coolest things about the project has been the scale. It has been exciting to work with so many people all the way from pre-production through the post pipeline.
We had the pleasure of working with a talented Director of Photography, Mr. TJ Walkup (congrats on the new baby, or congrats soon!). Thanks to TJ we learned about the special media line at some airlines.
We booked a shoot at a fantastic studio in S.F.’s Mission District called the Producers Loft (See all the pictures in this post). Definitely check them out if you have studio or green screen needs (and they offer discounts for socially relevant documentary work).
We’ve had two VO sessions at Voice One in Mission Bay, where we had the pleasure of working with Elaine Clark (who happens to be the mother of an old friend of ours.) We also worked with a talented VO artist named Shannon Riley.
Our friend and incredibly talented motion designer Susan Brennan has provided awesome graphics for the video.
It’s been quite a project and it’s still going. We’re deep in post and in weekly contact with the talented team at Giant, who’ve been fun to travel and work with all the way through.
We’ll have more updates soon about the other projects we’re working on.

Atlas Unleashed
We produced this video for the Roughneck Online Catalog and ‘Zine a few months ago. It’s been on lock down ever since… So we thought it was time for it to see the world.
If you’ve been paying attention to our site you might have already seen it in the portfolio section. If not, then enjoy. Atlas is an excellent skate shop serving San Mateo and the greater Bay Area. We’re proud of this video. 2 hour shoot, one day edit. Shot with one Canon XH-A1, one man band style. …Particularly proud of my steady camera skills following Mike Manidis down that tiny stairway.
If you’re down on the peninsula check Atlas out:

Roughneck Caltrain Tour 2010
The 1st Annual Roughneck Caltrain Tour rolled down the Peninsula last weekend. As usual TeamJaded was on the scene documenting every second of it. We will have an edit for you shortly.
Some of you may have noticed that we’re making changes to the site. We’re shifting the emphasis from our blog to showcasing what it is we actually do, namely producing compelling video. To that end, we’re in the middle of a big contract gig with a regular client and we won’t be able to edit Caltrain Tour until we’re finished with that in a couple of weeks.
Please stay tuned. We’ve got a lot cooking at TeamJaded Productions. In fact we’re piloting a reality series with Roughneck Johnny and it’s going to be epic. Check back often.
In the mean time, our friend Christian over at Stick It posted an amazing blog about Caltrain tour that features several pictures of Jeremey looking stupid (and some great skating too.) Check it out.

Make it Happen: Lost Film Fest
This video was produced for our Make It Happen Project.
Make It Happen is a series of short documentaries profiling creative people pursuing their dreams through projects with DIY roots.
We wish that this documentary came close to capturing the carnival atmosphere of activism and underground culture swirling around Scott and Liz. If they ever roll through your town, you must check them out. Until then, enjoy.

TeamJaded wins Telly Award in Documentary
We won a Bronze Telly Award in Documentary for Make It Happen: Lowcard. That piece has gone a long way for us. First the Skate Film Festival, now a Telly. We can’t wait for our statue.
Thanks to Rob and Rhea and the rest of the Lowcard crew. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks to Thom Blythe, I’m sure your awesome intro graphic had something to do with woo’ing the judges.
Make It Happen: Lost Film Fest on Youtube
This morning we uploaded Lost Film Fest to Youtube… in two parts. No more videos longer than ten minutes on the Tube. I have to say that it’s now official, we prefer Vimeo. Check out our Vimeo Page and the new Make It Happen Channel.
On the upside, Youtube didn’t strip the audio. If you like the Gogol Bordello song in the first part, now you can click and buy it. It’s the last song in the video though, not the first.

Make It Happen: Lost Film Fest
This documentary encapsulates a couple of nights we spent following around Scott Beibin and Liz Cole of the Lost Film Fest/ Evil Twin Booking Agency. It features shows at the Bubble House in Philadelphia, PA and the Change You Want to See Gallery in Brooklyn, NYC.
The video was produced for our Make It Happen Project. Make It Happen is a series of short documentaries profiling creative people that are pursuing their dreams through DIY projects.
Thanks to Scott Beibin and Liz Cole for letting us stick cameras in their faces, for setting up shows, giving us access to a plethora of films and photos (and for being patient).
We wish that this video came close to capturing the carnival atmosphere of activism and underground culture swirling around Scott and Liz. If they ever roll through your town, you must check them out. Until then, enjoy.
