Roughside of the Updates

The last couple of weeks have been a bit hectic. We had family in town, a wedding in Colorado, and a family trip to D.C. for a newborn niece. Somehow, during all of that we cut a series of videos for a Pandora and Mercedes campaign called Moms and Dads Who Rock. The first was five videos was with Javier Colon, the second set (still in post) is with Reba McEntire, the third (actually starting tomorrow) with Tori Amos.

But that’s not all.

We’re also launching It’s a Rough Life next Thursday with a soft launch and promo video on the site tomorrow! We’ve been working like crazy to get episodes ready for the launch. There is some old and some new. As such, Jeremey traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah over the weekend with the Roughneck Hardware folks to document Roughside of the Traxx, a BART Tour-esque, public transit, guerilla skate contest put on my SLUG Magazine and Roughneck.

The contest went off, with tons of Utah kids going crazy on the trains, barging skate spots all over downtown SLC, and generally ripping. Footage from SLUG, and also from us will be available shortly.

Thanks to everyone in SLC for their kindness and hospitaliy. It was a fun town with good people and SLUG is a great mag.

And also thanks to Fice in downtown SLC for the discount on jeans after Jeremey blew his out skating and filming all day. All in all the trip was a lot of fun, but definitely challenging being a one man band trying to shoot a documentary under roving street contest conditions.

Yep, it’s been busy, busy, busy with no signs of slowing down. Stay tuned. Check out the promo at It’s a Rough Life tomorrow, and wait for lots more hi jinx with Johnny and his crew coming every Thursday for the next couple of months.

Bryce Kanights- Bonus- Part 5

… A little old, but good from Nemo Entertainment. Definitely go watch all of them here.

Supercharged this Saturday

Our friend Pete Koff just sent over the premiere dates for Supercharged: the Life and Times of Tim Brauch. If you’ve been reading the blog then you know that we’ve helped out a little on this film. In fact the video posted above is the open sequence that Jeremey cut a month or two ago. (It has an alpha channel, which is why it goes to black.)

We can’t wait to see the finished project on the big screen. Be there.
