Dennis Busenitz Pushing San Francisco

It’s Monday inspiration with Busenitz. This video has been getting Jeremey hyped (and making him want to skate). Even if you don’t like skating, enjoy the steez and the SF scenery. This is how it’s done.

Roughcutz the Movie

Our frequent collaborator in film projects, Mr. John Griffin aka Johnny Roughneck has a new alter ego; DJ Roughcutz. If you haven’t heard, Roughcutz is the newest Bay Area rap star, and the focus of our newest project… title TBA.

In short, we’re helping Roughcutz establish his social media presence and producing a short documentary (as we have been known to do) about his exploits. We’re aiming for a premiere at Underskatement. Monday was the first(ish) day of production. We had a warm up shoot last week, but today was full on with lights and another of our frequent collaborators, Mr. Ben Youngerman helping out with the second angle.

Check out these pics from the day. There are a few screen grabs, but mostly they are either from the 7D in Jeremey’s hands, or the 5D in Ben’s.

What’s a rap star without his sponsors? Roughcutz got laced up by Stunner of the Month over the weekend. He’ll be rocking a new set of Stunners every time you see him out in the City.

The day started with a spinal interview at Lower Haters, the new Roughneck office/ Dwntwn pop up store.

Abby snapped the the family still. 7D, Canon 50mm at f2.0.

Roughcutz + Dirty Pigeon for life.

Little script help from the Android.

After the interview we headed to Roughcutz’s Producer Mike’s house to lay down a track.

Not yet an official sponsor.

We ran into Shawn Connelly on the way there.

Another great shot of our rig. Thanks Mr. Youngerman. Ben’s a great documentarian. He’s thinking about the story about the story.

Lyrics to go.

Roughneck BART Tour 2010

Welcome to BART Tour, San Francisco’s closest event to the Warriors. We’ve been documenting Roughneck’s annual contest/pilgrimage/ takeover of Bay Area Rapid Transit since 2006. This year we introduced a Canon 7D into the mix. For credits click here.

Roughneck Hardware BART Tour 2010: VIDEO

File this under better late than never. Believe me, I’ve wanted to get this out there since the day after. Fortunately for us JADED had a really good year… unfortunately, that meant I couldn’t edit this until now. Happy late birthday Johnny!

Dwntwn Skate Supply: SOMA

This video is the latest in a long line of videos we’ve produced to cover the exploits of our friend Johnny Roughneck. Back in 2009 we produced a video promoting his new shop “Dwntwn” that had just opened in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. A year later, he’s got a Best of the Bay Award under his belt and the shop has moved to a new and bigger South of Market location. In his own words, they “ain’t playing.”

This is our inaugural dslr shoot. It was produced by JADED with the help of our friend Ben Youngerman. We shot with a Canon 7D, a Canon 5D Mark II, and employed a Merlin Steadicam with vest and arm.

RNCK BART Tour 2010 Stills and Screens

We’re working on the BART Tour 2010 video and it will be up sooner than later. Until then enjoy some screens (from the 7D and the A1) and stills from the 7D. See if you can tell which is which.

Tyler handled the legit skate filming while I messed around with the 7D.

Dwntwn DSLR

Here’s the video evidence from our first DSLR Shoot. Check out Dwntwn’s new location and TeamJaded with a 7D and a Merlin Steadicam. Our friend Ben Youngerman also worked on this with his brand new Canon 5D. He did a great job, and his Zeiss lens looks sick!

We produced this to showcase our friend Johnny’s new shop and also as a test shoot for our new DSLR’s. How’d we do for a first go round?

Next time you’re South of Market roll through Dwntwn… they might even be making vegan pizzas.

World’s collide: 7D IB5K RNCK Alphabet Soup Extravaganza!!!!!!

Jeremey with Merlin vest and 7D at DWNTWN

In our continued effort to keep the blog posted with what we’re up to, we’d like to announce that we got a Canon 7D DSLR! If you don’t know, learn. If you do know, then yeah… oh yeah. We’re psyched. Welcome back to the party to us.

We’ve had the camera for a little over a week, and we got it just in time for a big job with our friends over at IB5K. Once again, we’re going to be traveling America shooting video. This time it’s mini-docs for Bank of America. But enough about that, we got a 7D! And a Merlin Steadicam (complete with arm and vest)!!

Look out for test footage, we’ll try to post some sooner than later. In the meantime, enjoy these screen shots and stills from a practice shoot we did with our friend Ben Youngerman and his new 5D at the new Dwntwn. I’ll label each pic with camera used and whether it’s a still or screen grab.

…Oh yeah, Dwntwn moved from the Tenderloin to Soma (and into a gigantic space). The new address is 1086 Howard @ 7th St. Head down and check it out. Here’s link to our friend Christian’s blog post from the opening party.

We’re going to do another practice shoot on Monday (today), and then Abby’s going to cut a mini doc from the new footage. Stay tuned.

Atlas Unleashed

We produced this video for the Roughneck Online Catalog and ‘Zine a few months ago. It’s been on lock down ever since… So we thought it was time for it to see the world.

If you’ve been paying attention to our site you might have already seen it in the portfolio section. If not, then enjoy. Atlas is an excellent skate shop serving San Mateo and the greater Bay Area. We’re proud of this video. 2 hour shoot, one day edit. Shot with one Canon XH-A1, one man band style. …Particularly proud of my steady camera skills following Mike Manidis down that tiny stairway.
