This video is the latest in a long line of videos we’ve produced to cover the exploits of our friend Johnny Roughneck. Back in 2009 we produced a video promoting his new shop “Dwntwn” that had just opened in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. A year later, he’s got a Best of the Bay Award under his belt and the shop has moved to a new and bigger South of Market location. In his own words, they “ain’t playing.”
This is our inaugural dslr shoot. It was produced by JADED with the help of our friend Ben Youngerman. We shot with a Canon 7D, a Canon 5D Mark II, and employed a Merlin Steadicam with vest and arm.

Roughneck Back to the Backside 9, a Race for Blood and Treasure. It almost got rained out, but a few soldiers showed up, and Johnny said forget the rain, lets do this.
Noah Peacock took it. The shot in the vid where he comes in second was his second time down the last block.

Roughneck BART Tour 2009, Part 1
Roughneck Hardware presents Bay Area Roughneck Tour 2009. The day started at Dwntwn Skate Shop, 644 Hyde St @ Post, San Francisco. People bombed to Civic Center BART, followed by a best trick/ Sevenfold product toss at Concord Skatepark, then a Circa Footwear mega giveaway at Walnut Creek… and then it rained. The main event was going to be a best trick contest a the Library sponsored by 48 Blocks, with $250 on the line.
That ended up happening on 9/20/09 at 6PM be there.
